The World Whistles Research Association

Around the world with the whistled and played languages - In March, 2003 to May, 2004 -

Laure Dentel and Julien Meyer left 15 months to meet the nations which use whistled speech or instrumentaly played speech. We lived in their isolated villages to understand the need to use such styles of speech. We recorded such dialogs as well as the sonor environment. Then we kept local contacts in order to build a network with them.

The route of our round the world travel was therefore inspired by the geographic situation of these particular uses of local languages.
